      Created Rume, which was purchased by the Verisk Corporation in November 1, 2009 and became Enabl-u Technologies Canada Inc. Enabl-u Technologies is a division of Verisk Crime Analytics, Inc

      The firm produces interactive online education, as well as APIS case management system used by large corporations and government. Created all of the online education platforms. Created the full-text search engine in APIS.

      Vice President of Research and Development, leading IIT’s team of software developers and scientists in Canada and Europe. Responsible for product development and technological advancement of electronic design software tools to automate the design of electronic circuits and chips.

      Co-invented ‘Multi-simulator Co-simulation’ patent.

    • IBM Microelectronics Canada Lab Chief Information Officer (1997)
    • IBM Microelectronics Canada Lab Patent Review Board Chair (1995, 1996)

      Evaluated patent ideas including performing prior-art searches. Worked with patent lawyers on submissions. Ran inventor recognition program.

      In 1996, microelectronics group created 33% of all IBM Canada patents with 75 people while in 1995, 20% with 70 people.

    • Researcher (January 1992 to February 1993) On-loan to University of Toronto

      Loaned to University of Toronto to work on a joint research project. Lead architect for the Ontario Telepresence project, an international project to study teleconferencing. Researched computer assisted decision support and telecommuting as teleconferencing applications. This resulted in the Decision Construction Set prototype.

      Wrote the guide “Telecommuting – A Corporate Primer,” which has been used by many organizations including IBM Canada, (US and UK), General Motors Canada and the Government of Nova Scotia to design their telecommuting programs.

    • Chief Image Technology Architect (September 1988 to July 1990) (Somers, NY, USA)

      Guided IBM worldwide technical direction of ImagePlus products. (Approximately 250 people in ImagePlus development, sales and support spanning 23 sites world-wide). ImagePlus is a large scale image storage and retrieval system used in insurance and credit card companies.
